Derby Night in Canada - POSTPONED
Dearest Vancouver roller derby fans,
Even though we appear to be bulletproof, not even the mighty Terminal City Rollergirls are immune to the challenges of the current economic downturn. Because of the recessionary climate, our sisters to the East and South can't afford the trip to Vancouver and have had to withdraw from our 2nd Annual Derby Night in Canada Tournament on July 11 at UBC's Thunderbird Arena. Because we love our fans so intensely, we want to bring you only the best roller derby event possible, so we've made the very tough decision to postpone DNIC until further notice. To heal our wounds and yours, there will still be a special TCRG event on July 11 elsewhere in the city, so stay tuned.
Ticketmaster is refunding the full ticket price for those of you who bought tickets in advance. If you bought your tickets online, you will be contacted by Ticketmaster soon. If you bought them in person, you will need to return to the outlet with the tickets for the refund.
Don't worry your pretty little heads about the rest of the TCRG season - we are now putting everything we've got into our Season 3 League Championship bout that's happening on Saturday, August 8. The Bad Reputations will attempt to defend their championship title against the currently undefeated Riot Girls, and the Faster Pussycats will take a piece or two out of an unsuspecting visiting team. More information and advance tickets will be available very soon on this very website.
Rollin' with the punches,
Your Terminal City Rollergirls
