Two scrimmages. Two themes. One evening of awesome.
Too broke or too busy to make it to RollerCon? Visiting Vancouver for BC Day weekend? Looking for a fun way to kick off Vancouver Pride week? Look no further. The Terminal City Rollergirls are proud to host our first rookies-inclusive, inter-league drop in event - and it's a double-header. Holy hyphens, Batman!
Where: Royal City Curling Club
When: July 29, 4-8pm. Bar is open until 9pm
Cost: $10 to register, $5 to watch
To get in on the fun, just do this simple one-two step:
1. Choose your team. Vagine Regime-inspired Gay vs Straight, or contest-winning Punk vs Disco? Registration limited to one team, unless space permits. While we’ll take your preference into account, we can't guarantee you'll get it. We'll contact you either way.
2. Email to register. Submit these required details to
scrimmage@terminalcityrollergirls.com:
~ Legal first and last name
~ Skater name and number
~ League insurance carrier name and policy number
~ Team preference
~ A short description of your experience/skills so we know you’re safe to scrimmage.
Insurance details must be pre-registered before July 25.
NO FRESH MEAT skaters permitted, only those who have passed all of their WFTDA minimum skills and are boutable. Unsure? Send questions to the email address listed above.
Each scrimmage will cap at 30 players (15/team). Teams can choose their uniform colour, provided it's cleared by event organizers to ensure no blending or matching.
Spectator admission is $5. Royal City has some seating trackside, and the bar upstairs will be open and boasts a fantastic aerial view of the track. ID will be checked.
Scrimmages will be played by RollerCon rules, which means benches may have to self-govern. Anyone interested in coaching or line-calling, please contact us! Interested guest officials or NSOs can drop us a line and we'll put you in contact with the Authority Figures.
All skaters are expected to play safely and respect each other. If at any time someone appears to be conducting themselves in a way that event hosts deem reckless or unsafe, they will be asked to step aside and join the audience. The TCRG is always respectful to its officials and fans, and insubordination or profanity may be subject to immediate expulsion.
All other details will be sent to registrants by email closer to the date.
