Calling all rookies... the rEvolution is here!

Vancouver's Terminal City Rollergirls are pleased to host the second annual rookie rEvolution on Saturday, July 10th at the Royal City Curling Club in New Westminster.

After last year's immense success, we are once again pleased to host a fun-filled, hard-hitting day of drills and scrimmaging, for rookies only! This is an exciting chance to connect with skaters from other leagues of a similar skill level, to expand on your skating ability through some hardcore workshops, and to apply it on the track with a scrimmage to finish the day. Based on the incredible success of last year, this is an event you don’t want to miss!

ARE YOU A ROOKIE??

To be eligible to participate, you must have been skating no longer than 18 months, or have played in 2 bouts or less. In addition, we require that you have passed all of the WFTDA Basic Skills to ensure safety on the track (with the Head Coach reserving the right to remove a skater at any time should she appear unsafe).

HOW DOES ONE REGISTER?

If your league has not yet spread the word, please request a registration form from rookierevolution@terminalcityrollergirls.com. The deadline to sign up is June 20th, so don’t delay…

Registration is $25, which includes a black or white t-shirt (depending on the team you’ll get assigned to) with that sexy rookie rEvolution logo on it. Snacks will be provided by TCRG members. Please bring cash on the day to complete your registration! *Cheques will not be accepted* Also, you must bring a piece of photo ID and your Care Card/health card (and USARS if you’ll be coming up from the States) with you on the day. This is VERY IMPORTANT, as without your moolah, health card, and ID, you won’t be allowed to skate!

This invite is open to any skaters who meet the above requirements, so pass it along to your fellow derby girls and friends in other leagues. In addition, we would like to invite visiting referees to come for a ref workshop (details TBA), so please put out the word to your ref team and direct any ref inquiries through the rookie rEvolution email address above. Also, bring your fans! Friends and family get in for $5… there will be some trackside seating, as well as a bar upstairs with a great view of the whole rink.

And lastly, if you need a place to stay, we have some very willing hostesses within the league who would be happy to put you up, Vancouver-style.
