The team with nothing to lose now has everything to win, after rookie-powered Public Frenemy shut down three-time league champs Bad Reputations in a decisive 189-82 victory on Sunday, fighting their way into September's Championship Bout.

Frenemy jumped out of the gates with an explosive start, further heating up the Royal City Curling Club on a sweltering summer afternoon. In the first jam, Frenemy’s Pretty Painful picked up nine points jamming against Bad Reps’ LA Gunns, who was immediately rocked by a big hit from Mick E. Knocks but got sent to the Sin Bin before she could complete her scoring pass.
After jams by Didgeri Doom and Feis T. Roller combined with excellent pack-work by Frenemy, the team in green was up 28-0 on the Bad Reps after three jams. The Bad Reps had a chance to get a jump on Frenemy after a miscue in the fourth jam, when they didn’t send out a jammer. Gunns was able to pick up the Reps’ first four points on the self-inflicted powerjam, but the Bad Reps were still tasked with a tough battle to get back into the bout.
It was a welcome sign for the Bad Reps, having vets Booty Quake and Chica Bomb back in the pack for the first time this season. The two worked together with Skwurlee and Rumble Stiltskin in a noticeable push toward the end of the first half, dishing out some big hits and containing Frenemy’s jammer.
By the end of the first half, Frenemy was up 98-39, and the Bad Reps headed to the locker room tasked with trying to figure out how to get back within striking distance.
The night was filled with great jammer match-ups, with speedsters Feis T. Roller and Great Canadian Bacon having plenty of head-to-head matches, and the Bad Reps’ Gunns and Smash’em Moiselle showing their power against the craftiness of Deathly Innocent and Didgeri Doom.
The hits didn’t stop, and bodies from both teams slammed into the track all afternoon -- even in the final minutes of the bout. Public Frenemy never lost their cool and played as a tight, cohesive unit, while the Bad Reps cycled in-and-out of the Sin Bin.
The final nail in the coffin for the Bad Reps’ chances at repeating as Champions was delivered by Frenemy captain and former-Bad Rep risquée biznatch wearing the star for the final jam of the day, as the clock ticked down to zero. Snatchy’s last (and only) jam was also a nice symbolic gesture for the captain who has helped turn her team of mostly fresh meat into could-be champions.
Public Frenemy will meet up with the undefeated Faster Pussycats in the Championship Final this Saturday, Sept. 10. Doors open at 5 pm and first whistle is at 6pm on Saturday at Kerrisdale Arena. The Bad Reputations and Riot Girls will be starting off the night with a grudge match for 3rd place. Tickets are $15 in advance at Flaming Angels (4307 Main St) or online at Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets at the door are $20. Kids 6-12 are $10 and 5 and under are free.

We'd like to do the same for our pups, but they won't sit still long enough for us to put http://www.coachoutletftconline.com/ coach outlet store online on them. Floral denim begged to be paired with breezy blouses while a floral coach swingpack and lightwashed denim moto jacket made my puffy coach factory online purse feel oppressive.Coach outlet, Katie Holmes and Kerry Washington also dressed to impress over the holidays. This sexy coach wristlets is even sultrier than normal thanks to the barely-dressed http://www.usa-coachoutletonline.com/ coach outlet online surrounding these gorgeous ladies.Only one solution - it's time for a proper wristlet that's more thought-out.
